Public Speaking O_O

So Jes is going for a public speaking today at Island College of Technology Penang, along with Thangeswary (I'm sorry if I spelled your name wrongly X_X) and me as a supporter XD

I woke up at 5 am in the morning, got ready,
and went to school to meet up with the others at 6.40 am.

Jes looked fine but I dunno exactly how she was feeling X_X

So Mr Chan drove us all the way from school to Balik Pulau to where the college was situated. And since Sir is a very laid back teacher, we did absolutely whatever we wanted in his car XD

We arrived at Island College far earlier than everybody else, so we took in the surroundings first.
And we saw this fella near the stream XD

Jes scared it when she went near it and it scurried away, but I still managed to get a shot of it XD Yes I know it's quite far away X_X
We called it the "Campus Chicken" XDD



And since we still had time, we camwhored XD


One thing that I really hate about going to such places, they don't have the sense of punctuality =o= Their time and their schedule totally don't tally at all!!

He was out most of the time the competitors were speaking =o= I reckoned he only paid attention to Thanges and Jes =O=


When all the competitors were arranged and seated [four of them were missing], one of the lecturers(?) of the college was supposed to give them competitors a briefing on the rules, but to my ears, she was rather more promoting the college instead =_=

So after all that was done, we waited another hour before the real thing finally started =_=
Horrible management =o=

The competitors were quite ok lah. Their topics are definitely interesting, although it was obvious that some of them had the topic written for them. And some of them looked like they had been practicing very hard, the way they gestured.

She was talking about "Perception of Beauty among Teens". She was good with her prepared speech, but when it comes to impromptu speech she didn't even last two minutes X_X but she was nevertheless good.

It's a really mature topic. I couldn't understand half of what he was saying X_X





This guy speaks like a bullet train @_@ I reckoned his speed-talking allowed him to cram more points than anybody else in the competition X_X

Something about plastic surgeries.


"The Environment- Mother Nature's Gift"
Loud and forceful =O= she blundered through her impromptu speech tho. She sounded more like she was promoting hydroponic vege @_@



"The other side of Malaysians"
The way he speaks, I don't think he even cared about this competition.


Now, personally, I have nothing against this speaker. She was good, oh yes, she was really good.
But bringing that many supporters really made them think that that miniscule hall belonged to them =_= sure cheer all you want but please do realise that ppl are trying to listen to the other contestants =_= Girls like them really pisses me off =O=

Okay after both prepared and impromptu speeches are over, the judges made their decisions as to who will make it to the finals.

Now, time to ease our hunger XD

Sir brought us to Georgetown Cafe, where he had already dined many times. And he paid all the bills XD Thank you, Sir!!!
It's quite nice, really ^^

We ate like, LOADS, among us X_X I think me and Jes were the ones REALLY eating X_X I was so stuffed after the meal @_@|||

So then after that Ah Sir sent us home.

I told my mama I'd be home around 2 or 3pm. But we ended up reaching at 5pm sharp =_=

Co-curiculum Day

Yups, its a busy day...for me X_X

It was a saturday, and we students of HSBM still had to get up early to go for this school event.

Mom said she needed the small car, so I was forced to drive our Perdana instead. It's very different from driving a tiny lil Kelisa ya noe X_X

Anyway, it's a day when all the clubs and societies in the school set up stalls to sell food, drinks, etc, etc.

Our Computing Club is no different ^^

Since it's not my shift yet, I ran around the school taking pictures XD
My friends were really exasperated with me, but they let me take their pictures all the same ^o^

Now, lemme introduce some of our club members (I said some cuz most of them were hiding)

Chun How, one of the most popular guys in school. He's damn tall, seriously X_X and yes, he looks VERY much better in person.





And then, I caught.......

We're actually supposed to stay in school till 4pm, but I couldn't. I've seen virtually everything there is to see (except the ghost house), so I decided to go home instead.

Unfortunately, the carpark was so full some bastards parked their car carelessly, resulting in both sides of the road completely blocked.

And my huge ass Perdana just couldn't make it.

If I go left, I'd have to knock down all the motorcycles.

If I go right, the blue Kelisa and Honda Civic will be scratched. Not that I cared. My only concern was that my already scratched Perdana will be scratched too. On BOTH sides.

I was really "pu huay" (spit fire), so I called my dad to pick me up instead. We got home and after a very hasty shower, I went out with my parents.

And the car was collected around 4pm =_= I might as well have stayed there. I was so damn tired after a full day outside the house.

And then we went out to the Church of Saint Anne for her festival.

I only managed to take one picture cuz the camera went out of battery after this shot =O= It's not very clear cuz it was really dark and my camera's flash wasn't strong enough. But if you look properly you can see the silhouettes of ppl all over the church grounds O__O
